The Friday of the Festival....always a day to be in town.....and no better year than this year as we encourage you to take part in "Fiver Friday". Many of the businesses in the town today have very special offers and discounts, all you have to do is look out for the "Fiver Friday" logo and shop local to grab the bargains. The day kicks off withGardener’s Worls, now in its 11th year, a great place to relax and meet old friends and after lunch you can enjoy the comedy, music, dancing & chat in the Town Hall at “Live At 2”, which this year is a country music special as we welcome Crossmolina native, Kevin Martin, back to his home town to launch his new book “A Happy Kind Of Sadness – A Journey Through Irish Country Music”. While your in town today enjoying the festival events please support and give your encouragement to the participants of the 12 hour skipathon organised by the North West Fitness Academy all in aid of Crossmolina Boxing Club & “Jack’s Wish To Walk”.

The younger members of the community are catered for at Elsie’s Art Workshop in the National School and later in the evening Murray’s Fun Fair will be open at the Car Park and there will be a Youth Disco in O’Malley’s for 1st, 2nd & 3rd years starting at 9pm.

The Trader’s Race has been scrapped this year and we welcome in its place, Live Pig Racing, a n evening of fun for all the family on Chapel St., place your bets and share in the prize money if your pig is in top form and the craic should be ninety with MC Frank Forde.

There is plenty of nightime entertainment, the ladies are catered for in O’Malley’s with a gin & tonic reception and cocktails be Crossmolina’s own, Padraic McNamara, music in The Thatch is by Niall & Andrew and on the west side of the river you can dance the night away to Ireland’s newest country star, Matthew O’Donnell & His Band live in the Upper Deck. Maughan’s Bar have music by Shane Ruane and well established Poker Classic takes place in Cawley’s Of Rakestreet – something for everyone.
